A trust is created, and the assets are placed into the trust. In order for the trust to own the assets while the creator of the trust is living, the trust may be altered, revised or revoked. Once the creator has passed, all the assets remain in the trust and there is an executor or administrator of the trust, similar to the will. Any assets not named in the first will pass through a Pour Over Will.
